Leroy C. Fox

Leroy C. Fox, 81 of Gibsonburg, passed away in the evening of March 18, 2021 at Otterbein Portage Valley in Pemberville, Ohio. He was born on September 18, 1939 to the late Walter and Wilhelmina Sophia Frederika (Lemke) Fox.

Leroy graduated from Gibsonburg High School and was a member of the Gibsonburg Saddle Club. He and his father would often take their ponies out to area parades and shows.

In 1960, Leroy married Betty Walp, and shared 60 years together until her passing on August 25, 2020. 

Left to cherish his memory are his children; Roy (Lee) Hunt of Dardanelle, AR, Shellie (Dan) Walker of Albia, IA, Velma (Bryan) Strait of Risingsun, OH, Leroy “Skeeter” (Ann) Fox of Dardanelle, AR; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Leroy is preceded in death by his wife, Betty; brothers, Harold, Don, Walter Jr., and Dale; and grandson, Samuel Strait.

Services will be held privately at a later date for Leroy’s family.
