Willie Gardner

Willie James Gardner, 71, of Fremont passed away on November 4, 2025 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born on July 7, 1954 to the late James and Ora (White) Gardner.

Willie was a 1972 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He enjoyed spending time at flea markets and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Dennis Gardner; siblings, Elester Gardner, Janie Sims-Royster, David Gardner, Anthony Gardner, Trina Newell, and Claria Johnson; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Willie is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; parents, James and Ora; and sister, Ollie Mae Gardner.

Visitation for Willie will be held on Thursday, November 13 from 2:00-6:00pm at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont.

Donations in Willie's name may be made to the Gardner family, in care of his brother, Anthony.
