William "Bill" Harry Seibert of Lindsey passed away December 10,2025 following a long battle of cancer. He was born July 2, 1942 in Fremont the son of Homer and Esther (Avers) Seibert. On September 24, 1971, he married Ruth Ann Avers, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore, Ohio.
A lifelong farmer, he was also a dedicated seed salesman for Seibert Seed Service. After farming, he worked for Yeagle Farms, and Sunrise Co-operative as a truck driver. Bill's life revolved around hard work, community, and a devotion to both the land and to those he loved.
Bill's passion for agriculture was matched only by his commitment to his community. As an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, he offered countless hours of service on numerous committees, sharing not just his time, but his kindness with all who knew him. He was also a proud member of Sandusky County Farm Bureau, and of S.C.R.A.P. where he enjoyed collecting and restoring antique tractors, a hobby that reflected his deep appreciation for the past and the craftsmanship of bygone eras. He was also a member of the Washington Twp. Zoning Board, a past member of Fremont FFA Alumni and volunteer for Sandusky County Habitat for Humanity.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Ruth Ann of Lindsey, Ohio, their children Judith "Judi" (John) Neill, Rebecca "Becky" (Roger) Geyman, James "Jim" (Jackie) Seibert. From a previous marriage Debra (Kevin) Skarsten and Kevin (Veronica) Seibert; many grandchildren; brother Henry (Becky) Seibert. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law Eugene Avers, David Wendt, Marvin Grau, and son-in-law Ken Klotz.
The Family would like to thank Cleveland Clinic Sandusky, Heartland Hospice of Fremont, and the Staff of Valley View Health Care in Fremont for tending to Bill's needs.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home in Fremont, Ohio from 1:00- 7 p.m. Additional visitiation will begin at 10:00AM on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church 1187 CR 128, Fremont, OH; funeral services officiated by Pastor Tim Miller will begin at 11:00AM. Services will be streamed live via his obituary page on the funeral homes website. Burial will follow at Faith Lutheran Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at Faith Lutheran Church Fellowship hall following the services. Memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Endowment Fund or to St. Jude's Children Cancer Research or the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hermanfh.com
