William "Bill" J. Baumer

William "Bill" J. Baumer, 68, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026 at his home. He was born on May 14, 1958 in Fremont a son of Robert Baumer and Sandra Kosman Ripple.

Bill was a self-employed roofing and construction specialist, known for his hard work and commitment to excellence throughout his career. Beyond his professional life, he was an avid sports enthusiast. Bill enjoyed bowling and golfing, and was a devoted fan of Sprint Car Racing, NASCAR, and college football, particularly cheering on the Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, the Baltimore Orioles, and Notre Dame.

His greatest joy came from the time spent with his son, Jason Baumer, and his beloved grandsons. He also cherished the companionship of his dog, Cooper, and his bird, Gray-Cee.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, William "Jason" Baumer of Fremont; grandchildren, Jason and Owen Baumer; and siblings, Robert "Keeter" (Linda) Baumer of Fremont, Annette (Steve) Guggisberg of Fremont, and Jennifer (Dennis) Goorsky of Huntley, Ill.

He is preceded in death by his parents; stepdad, Jim Ripple; and great nephews, Sawyer Purdham and Alexander Jones Jr.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
