Virginia Spanfellner

Virginia Spanfellner, 95, of Gibsonburg, passed away at Windsor Lane Health Care on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. She was born on January 19, 1924 in Melrose, MA to John & Natalie (Sanborn) Burbine.

Virginia was a proud US Navy veteran who served our country in World War II. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Virginia loved Eustis, Florida, where she lived for 24 years.

On June 22, 1946, Virginia married Harold Spanfellner in Gibsonburg. Together, they celebrated 47 years of marriage until Harold’s passing in 1993.  Virginia is survived by her 2 children and 5 grandchildren.

To honor Virginia’s wishes, private services will be held at a later date.

The family would like to extend a special thanks for Heartland Hospice for their loving care to Virginia.
