Tracy L. Hopkins, 62, passed away on September 11, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Oregon, Ohio, on January 1, 1963, to Louis James and Neva (Gill) Harrington.
Tracy was well known as a cashier at Marathon Gas in Gibsonburg, where she worked for about 14 years before retiring in 2024. On June 16, 2012, she married Scott Hopkins in an intimate gathering at her sister’s home, and they celebrated 13 years of marriage before her passing.
Tracy was a passionate crafter, and found joy in expressing herself through skills that spanned a variety of creative pursuits. Alongside her husband, Scott, Tracy embraced her adventurous side, riding on their Harley Davidson and embarking on spontaneous weekend getaways. Whether they were cruising through Southern Ohio or making memories at Marblehead Lighthouse, their countless escapades were cherished moments of joy and freedom.
Tracy had a whimsical love for collecting gnomes and bears, which brought a unique charm to her life. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Tracy’s laughter, warmth, and love will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Scott Hopkins; children, Stephanie Jaggers, Justin (Taylor) Jaggers, Teah (Luke) Lower; step-children, Becky Hug, Katie Hopkins, Bethany Hopkins; several grand and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister, Roxanne Beaber.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by several siblings and her brother-in-law, Dennis Beaber.
Per her wishes there will be no services at this time.
Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg, OH, has the honor of assisting Tracy’s family during this difficult time.
