Thomas J. Jump, 76, of Clyde, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026 at his residence. He was born October 26, 1949 in Fremont, the son of Paul R. and Vernita (Sanford) Jump. Upon graduation from High School, Tom served two tours in Vietnam in the United States Army.
He went on to work as a pipe inspector on oil pipelines. His work took him from coast to coast and Aruba. Tom was a golfer and an avid football fan, especially the Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed traveling to Alaska and loved the landscape of the Ozarks and Tennessee, Tom was dedicated to work and family.
Surviving are his children: Robb (Tina) Jump of Ponchatoula, LA; Catherine (Tomas) Ruggiero of LaPorte, TX; Carmin (Lindsey) Ruggiero of Washington D.C.; grandchildren: Evan, Olivia and Emma: siblings Paul (Ruby) Jump Jr. of North Wilkesboro, NC; June Eck of Elgin, IL; Anita Byers of Clyde, OH; Gary (Mitzi) Jump and Michael (Sherri) Jump; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Laura Flynn on January 26, 2014.
A celebration of life will take place in June at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory. Dates and times will be updated closer to the time.
