Susan H. Buckholz

Susan Buckholz, 79, beloved mother, devoted wife, and cherished friend, passed away on October 17,2026 at Valley View Health Campus to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ in heaven. 

She was born on June 2, 1947, in Fremont, to William and Martha (Randall) Hart. Susan graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1965 before attending Kent State University where she graduated in 1969.

On June 19, 1971, Susan married Raymond Buckholz Jr. and together they have shared many years of love and memories. Susan enjoyed reading, cooking, and animals. She spent many fulfilling years as the secretary of Mayfair Plymouth Church in Toledo where she was a member. She loved spending time with her husband and children, and talking with her twin sister, Barb. 

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Raymond Buckholz, Jr.; sons, William (Sarah) Buckholz and Thomas Buckholz of Illinois; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Alexander; and siblings, Barbara Parke of Uniontown, Ohio, William Hart of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Stephen Hart of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Thomas Hart of South Portland, Maine.

She is preceded in death by her parents William and Martha (Randall) Hart.

Visitation for Susan will be held on Saturday, October 24, at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home, Gibsonburg from 10:00-11:00AM. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00AM at the funeral home.
