Steven E. Brooker

Steven Eugene Brooker, 65, of Gibsonburg passed away at his home on Saturday, December 19, 2020. He was born in Findlay on September 14, 1955 to the late Elmer “Bud” and Mary Jane (Peterson) Brooker.

Steve graduated from Findlay High School. He then served in the U.S. Air Force. After serving active duty he entered the Reserves for several years. Steve retired on December 1, 2017 after his 31-year career at UPS. He previously worked at Cooper Tire in Findlay.

Steve volunteered at the Bradner Fire Department & EMT for several years. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed hunting. In recent years, he enjoyed exercising and sharing long conversations with his friend from Gibsonburg, Jim Stout. Above all, he loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving him is the love of his life and wife of 27 years, Gale (Milton) Brooker; children, Steven E. (Tabitha Ellinwood) Brooker Jr. of Findlay, Steffani (William) Reinhart of Fostoria, Shanna M. (Michael Fleece) Brooker of New Riegel, Kristin L. (Garrett Busack) Brooker of Fremont, Jason E. Brooker of Millbury, Joshua E. Brooker of Gibsonburg, and Curtis S. Brooker of Millbury; grandchildren, Ashton Rose Brooker, Bryce E. Brooker, Desmin Marshall, Isaiah Brooker-Reinhart, Kadence Reinhart, Wiatt Reinhart, Lux Miller, Alec Brooker, Allison Fleece, Adaleigh Brooker, and Harper Brooker; great-grandchildren, Zann Marshall and Ryker Cole; brothers, R. Scott (Vicki) Brooker of Findlay and Dennis K. Brooker of Findlay; and sisters, Suzi (Doug) Rhodes of Bowling Green and Denise “Shelli” Brooker of Findlay.

 He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Douglas Brooker who passed on November 12th this year.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service tentatively this summer. The Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory has the honor of caring for Steven and his family.

In honor of Steve, memorials may be made to the care of Gale.
