Sharon Zilles

Sharon Lee Zilles, 85 of Fremont passed away on December 16, 2022 at Promedica Toledo Hospital. She was born in Fremont on April 15, 1937 to the late Chester and Ruth (Lee) Gilmore.

She graduated in 1955 from Fremont Ross High School, and on October 15, 1960, she married Richard Zilles at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Sharon held many hobbies, including cooking, baking, traveling, and gardening. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, serving on the church council, taking part in Joy Circle, and assisting with funeral luncheons. Sharon was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed volunteering at the Hayes Presidential Center.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard; son, Steve (Peg) Zilles of Hilliard; and grandsons, Matthew and Jacob Zilles.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Ruth.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22 from 9:30-11:30AM at Grace Lutheran Church. Funeral services will follow visitation with Pastor Mark Bogen and Lay Associate Pastor Maureen Pump officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon's name may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
