Sandra "Sandy" Schneider

Sandra “Sandy” Schneider, 79, of Lindsey, passed away on September 19, 2021, at Valley View Health Campus. She was born on March 10, 1942, in Fremont, Ohio to Lyle and Dora (Sibrel) Boyer. On November 26, 1960, she married Edgar Schneider at St. Paul Church, and they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage together until her passing. Sandy retired from Brush Wellman after 26 years, and during that time was also an Aide at Riverview Healthcare Campus. Following her retirement, Sandy acted as the secretary for the Brush Retirees. She was devoted to her church and community and could be found serving in almost every aspect of Faith Lutheran Church. She assisted with funeral luncheons, sang in the choir, was the director of the Bell Choir and taught Sunday School. In addition, Sandy was a member of the Lindsey Fire Flashes. She was devoted to her family most of all and never missed an opportunity to attend an event for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Edgar Schneider, of Lindsey, Ohio, children; Michael (Christi) Schneider of Elmore, Ohio, Dean (Christie) Schneider of Fremont, Ohio, Sharon (Mike) Wendt of Curtice, Ohio, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren with one on the way, 2 great-great grandchildren, siblings; Linda Woessner and Becky Brossia. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Tom and Dick Boyer. 

Visitation will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, Ohio, 43420. Memorial services will be on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 1187 CR 128, Fremont, Ohio, 43420. Pastor Tim Miller will officiate. Additional visiting will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. 

Burial will take place privately at a later date at Faith Lutheran Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
