Rupert "Randy" Halbisen, 88, of Fremont passed away peacefully at his home with his children by his side on March 21, 2024. He was born on April 4, 1935 to the late Rupert and Clara (Shorts) Halbisen.
Randy proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1954-1956.
On November 5, 1963, he married Sharon Willey and shared over 33 years together until her passing in 1997.
Randy and Sharon loved traveling. They spent their Winters in Corpus Christi, TX and their Summers in Alaska. He enjoyed spending time with the Burger King and McDonald's Coffee Club. His family will remember Randy's helpfulness with many household projects.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tracy (Kevin) Langel of Fremont and Eric (Anna) Halbisen, of Hilliard; grandchildren, Wendy Halbisen, Brian Halbisen, Trevor Langel, Nathan Halbisen, and Jonah Halbisen; sisters, Karen (Earl) Wammes, Mary Ann Wensinger, Margaret Heishman, and Doris Seaman; 4 great-grandchildren, and 3 step-great grandchildren.
Rupert is preceded in death by his parents, Rupert and Clara; son, Rick Halbisen; and siblings, Bernard Halbisen, Neil Halbisen, Merlin Halbisen, Rodger Halbisen, Robert Halbisen, Dale Halbisen, Beulah Horn, Lavina Gabel, Jeanne Herman, and Alice Halbisen; and brothers-in-law, Bill Wensinger, Wayne Heishman, and Howard Seaman.
Services will be held privately for the family at a later date.
Donations may be made in Rupert's name to Share and Care of Fremont.
