Rosalyn "Rosie" I. Stout

Rosalyn "Rosie" I. Stout, 91, of Fremont passed away on May 19, 2022 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was born on June 22, 1930 to the late Walter G. and Gertrude (Bierly) Weickert.

Rosie was a 1948 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. On September 16, 1950, she married Robert H. Stout and shared 28 years together in marriage before his passing in 1979.

She enjoyed traveling, crafting, and tending to her flowers. Rosie was also a very active member of Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church and was involved at the Senior Center in Fremont.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Donald (Julie) Stout of Lafayette, IN and Sandra Stout of Fremont; sister, Alice Holewinski of Gibsonburg; daughter-in-law, Kathy Stout; grandchildren, Kari (Aaron) Roosen, Ty (Alisha) Stout, Richard Stout, all of Fremont, Lisa (Dan) Clark of Oak Harbor, Carisa (Andrew) Barnard of Ozark, Missouri, and Abbie Clingerman of Carmel, Indiana; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Gertrude; husband, Robert; son, Ron; brother, Burdette "Bud" Weickert; and grandson, Ryan Stout.

Visitation for Rosie will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 9:00-11:00 AM at Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church, Fremont with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sandusky County Dog Warden, Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church, the Fremont City Schools Learning in Liberty Program, or to a cause of the donor's choice.
