Rosalie A. Teeple, 83, of Gibsonburg, passed Saturday, August 9, 2025 at her residence. She was born March 4, 1942 the daughter of Elbert and Helen (Mergenthaler) Boots. On June 11, 1960 she married Tom Teeple, he survives in Gibsonburg.
She had an established career at Quality Farm & Fleet in Fremont, where she worked for over 30 years.
Rosalie was known for her incredible baking skills, a true artisan in the kitchen. Her crowning achievement came when she participated in the Toledo Edison Bake-Off, earning herself a place to compete at the Ohio State Fair, where her chocolate cake from scratch earned her a well-deserved second place. While she generously shared her recipes with her loved ones, no one could quite replicate the magic she infused into baked goods especially her famous zucchini bread. She was a collector of Angels and often remarked that she collected her first one when she married Tom.
Beyond her culinary talents, Rosalie found joy in sewing and walking in the fresh air. A true sports enthusiast at heart, she was never to be disturbed while a Cleveland Indians game was playing, and she took pride in cheering for Ohio State Basketball. Her passion also extended to motorsports, as co-owner of a sprint car, she traveled across the country to enjoy the thrill of the races.
