Ronald A. Wheeler

Ronald Wheeler, 73, of Fremont passed away on November 15, 2022 at Bethesda Care Center. He was born on July 30, 1949 in Fremont to Frank J. and Dorothy (Ackerman) Wheeler.

Ronald graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1967. He worked for 45 years at Whirlpool. On April 23, 1977, he married Jeanne Reidling at St. John's Lutheran Church.

At a notably young age, Ronald earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Through the years, he enjoyed collecting coins, bowling, attending the races at the Fremont Speedway, and visiting flee markets. He also liked to mow yards and snow blow so much that he could often be found caring for St. Paul's Episcopal Church's yard and drives along with his own.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne; son, Jacob (Jodi) Wheeler of Washington Court House, OH; grandchildren, Brittany (Zeth) Bell of Blanchester, OH and Miranda Wheeler of Washington Court House, OH; great-grandchildren, Carter and Logan Bell; mom, Dorothy Wheeler of Fremont; and siblings, Steven (Cherie) Wheeler of Perrysburg and Charlene (Bob) Hernandez of Clyde.

Ronald is preceded in death by his father, Frank and daughter, Shanda Wheeler.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 2-4 PM at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont. An additional hour of Visitation will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Fremont on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 10-11 AM where Funeral Services will begin at 11 AM. Pastor Matt Wahlgren will officiate and burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
