Ronald Brockway

Ronald Brockway, 68 of Fremont passed away on March 3, 2026 at his home. He was born on June 25, 1957 to the late Burl and Gladine (Polter) Brockway. 

Ron attended Fremont Ross High School, graduating in 1975. In 2003, he graduated with a Bachelors Degree of Computer Science from the University of Phoenix and most recently worked for GoPro as a senior analyst. 

From 1975-1980, Ron proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. 

On December 30, 1983, he married Evalie Ohman in San Jose, California, and together they have shared over 42 of loving marriage.

Ron enjoyed gardening in his spare time, along with researching and keeping up on his computer skills. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Evalie; children, Michael (Shannon) McFarland and David (Adrianna) McFarland both of Fremont; grandchildren, Shalane (Brian) Hazelwood, Michael C. McFarland II, and Kessa E. McFarland; great-granddaughter, Celeste Hazelwood; brother, Ken (Sally) Brockway, and brother-in-law, Michael (Shari) Ohman. 

Ron is preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held at a later date.
