Ron "Stouty" Stout

July 8, 1951 — January 9, 2022

Ron “Stouty” Stout, 70, of Fremont, passed away on January 9, 2022. He was born on July 8, 1951, in Fremont, Ohio, to Robert and Rosalyn (Weickert) Stout. Ron was a 1969 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He served in the United States Army for 6 months and in the National Guard for 11 years. Following his honorable discharge Ron went on to work for Whirlpool for 48 years until his retirement in 2017. In August of 1970 he married Kathy Smith and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage until his passing.

Ron was a trustee and ambassador for Zenobia Shriners, a past master of the Brainard Lodge #336, and served on the city council in the eighties. In his spare time, he coached girls’ softball for his granddaughters’ teams and enjoyed playing golf with the Whirlpool Retiree League at Greenhills Golf Course.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathy Stout, children: Lisa (Dan) Clark, Kari (Aaron) Roosen, Ty (Alisha) Stout, all of Fremont, grandchildren: Alexis Seymour, Ayrial (Seth) Hogue, Aspen (Walker) Moreno, Riane Roosen (Tory Overmyer), Chloe Roosen, Colton and Charli Clark, great-grandchildren: Piper Seymour, Miley and Brooklyn Hogue, Gemma Overmyer, mother, Rosalyn Stout, siblings: Sandy Stout of Fremont and Donald Stout of Indiana, mother-in-law, Inez Smith, and sister-in-law, Joan (Dennis) Gable. He was preceded in death by his father, son, Ryan Stout, and father-in-law, Calvin Smith.

A celebration of life for Ron will be on April 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Zenobia Shrine Center, 8048 Broadstone Road, Perrysburg, Ohio, 43551. A time of fellowhsip will follow, hosted by the Pitmasters.
