Roger D Hoffman

May 18, 1942 — Jul 31, 2026

Roger D. Hoffman, 84, of Bettsville passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026. He was born on May 18, 1942 a son to Ray and Glodean (Cunningham) Hoffman.

On December 18, 1960, he married Janet Kiser in Clearwater, MI. Together they shared over 65 years of loving marriage.

For over 30 years, he was a truck driver for Green Bay Packaging.

Roger liked to follow sports, being a fan of the Cleveland Guardians and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed the excitement of sprint car racing, often sharing his enthusiasm with friends and family. In his leisure time, Roger found solace in nature, whether he was fishing, camping, or simply mowing the lawn, cherishing the beauty of the great outdoors.

He was a man of great character, steadfast in principles, and devoted to his family. Those who had the privilege to love and be loved by him were blessed beyond measure. It's our faith that leads us to peace in knowing that this is not our final destination, but only an end to a chapter in our story. We all look forward to reuniting with him again; when we too are clothed in glory to spend eternity with our Lord.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife, Janet; daughter, Kimberly Marie Hoffman of Fremont; grandson, Christopher (Debra) Hoffman and their children, Dominic and Halle Hoffman all of Toledo; siblings, Marilyn (Louie) Stevens of Gibsonburg, Jerry (Kay) Hoffman of Weston, Patricia Perry of Helena, Lyle (Kris) Hoffman of Fremont, and Tracy (Susie) Hoffman of Gibsonburg.

Preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin Hoffman; and siblings, Haldon "Doc" Hoffman, Raylene Crocker, Linda Phillips, and Dwayne L. "Dewey" Hoffman.

Friends and family will be welcomed for a celebration of Rogers life held at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 2-5PM.

Memorials in honor of Roger may be made to the family care of Janet.
