Robert Sanford

Robert E. Sanford Jr., 77, passed away on August 6, 2023, at Valley View Health Campus, Fremont. He was born on April 1, 1946 in Bucyrus, OH, a son to Robert and Martha (McDermont) Sanford Sr.

After his graduation from Fremont Ross High School in 1964, Robert continued his education at the University of Toledo. For most of his working career he was an operator for Peerless Construction. Robert was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and in his spare time he enjoyed woodworking.

Robert is survived by the mother of his children, Judy (Welch) Brooks and her husband Tim; children, Bethaney (John) Wojdyla of Fremont and Braden (Patricia) Sanford of South Carolina; grandchildren, Karson and Katelyn Wojdyla, Braden Jr., Walter, and Finn Sanford; and brother William (Debbie) Sanford of Fremont.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial donations can be made in Robert's name to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory from 9-11 AM with services to follow at 11:00 AM. Rev. Paul Bailie will officiate, and burial will be follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
