Robert Goehring

Robert Goehring, 88, of Fremont passed away at his daughter's home on Monday, September 25, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 22, 1935 in Sandusky to the late Frank and Helen (Hawn) Goehring.

On July 6, 1957, he married the love of his life, Marlene Knott. Robert was a hardworking and caring man his whole life. For many years Robert worked for Crescent. He retired in 1998. Robert enjoyed attending races at the Fremont and Attica Speedways. He was also a NASCAR fan and liked to watch Ohio State Football.

Left to cherish his memory are children, Rebecca (Tom) Sterling, Roger Goehring, John (Becky) Goehring, James (Rhonda) Goehring, and Michael Goehring, all of Fremont, and Kelly (Mike) Masella of Tiffin. Also surviving is his brother, Fred Goehring of Fremont; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by parents; wife who passed on October 27, 2015; a grandson; a great-granddaughter; and siblings, Richard, William, and Imogene Goehring.

Family and friends will be welcomed to Faith Lutheran Church from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Sat., Sept. 30, 2023 where Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. Pastor Dan Mohr will officiate, and burial will follow at Lindsey Cemetery.
