Richard J. Wammes

Richard “Dick” J. Wammes, 75, of Fremont, passed away on January 6, 2020 at home. He was born on February 3, 1944 to Joseph S. and Ruth (Kirsch) Wammes in Fremont. Richard was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School and was an assembly worker for Ford Motor Company. On June 19, 1982 he married Angie Arriaga at St. Michael Catholic Church in Gibsonburg, and she survives. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the UAW.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angie Wammes of Fremont, children, Lisa (Robert) Severs of Fremont, Tina (Brian-deceased) Kramer of Tiffin, Richard Wammes of Clyde, grandchildren, Lynnette (Kurt) Swinehart, Ashley Kramer, Robert Brandon Severs, Brendon Michael (Katelen) Wammes, Brison Deverick Wammes, 6 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Judy of TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will take place Friday, January 10, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a vigil service at 7:30 pm at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH, 43420. Funeral Services will begin Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
