Richard "Brutha" James Salazar, 48, Fremont, OH passed away December 31, 2021. He was born February 6, 1973 in Fremont the son of Reynaldo V. Madrigal and Cosolasion Salazar.

Brutha Salazar had an incredible passion and love for life. He lived to be surrounded by his large family and friends. It was no surprise to find him hosting large lavish family gatherings on a regular basis. His spirit was like no other. He knew how to get the party started with his dance moves. He was passionate about his children and grandchildren. Richard loved the artist Prince, cooking, his animals Jada, Duck and Cook, and gardening. His lawn was always pristine. He lived by the phrase "God Bless N'B Wild!"

Surviving are his children: Shelby Stevenson of Akron, OH; Bishop Salazar, Savannah Salazar, Jason Lindsey all of Fremont, OH; Jannessa Lindsey of Bellevue, OH; Jaliya Lindsey, Dion Sutton and Janna Sutton all of Fremont; grandchildren: Phoenix, Salem, Liyah, Persephone, Cayden, Ayana, Bryleigh, Jayden, Kameron, Spencer, Kali, Kyrie, Alani, Averie, Tyler Jr.; mother, Connie Salazar and Step-Father, Richard C. Ernst of Helena, OH; brother Michael (Jennifer) Ernst of Helena, OH; nephews Elijah and Ethaniel Ernst; godchildren: Aiden, Jelisa, Javen, Annalyse, Johnny; best friends Lamar Shepard and Tyrone Stokes. He was preceded in death by his father, Reynaldo, grandparents, and sister Melinda Salazar.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 6, from 2-7P.M. at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH where vigil services will take place at 6:30P.M.

A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:30A.M. on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Saint Michael Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sandusky County Humane Society. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hermanfh.com
