Richard "Dick" M. Reno, 95, of Burgoon, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Valleyview Care Center. He was born July 1, 1929 in Toledo, OH, the son of Sherman M. and Margaret (Tiedjen) Reno. He was a 1947 graduate of Toledo Waite and went on to serve in the United States Army from 1951-1953 in Korea. On March 27, 1954 he married Rosalyn Hill in Fremont, OH; she preceded him in death on March 5, 2019.
Dick operated Reno's Gulf and Sinclair Gas Station in the 1960's and went on to own and operate Reno's Excavating. He retired in 1990. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, horseshoes and corn hole. He was an avid lover of live music and looked forward to Friday night Bluegrass at Gypsum Crossing.
Surviving are his children, Cynthia (Timothy) Sherrard, Timothy (Shirley) Reno all of Helena, Sandra (Douglas) Mitchell of Oregon and Jane (Matthew) Spitnale of Eustis, FL; grandchildren, Nikki (Aaron) Hall, Chad (Jamie) Reno, Amber (Brett) Linkey and Aaron Sherrard; great-grandchildren, Jake, Leah & Katie Hall, Wyatt & Elijah Boulee and Levi, Daxton, Calvin and Phoebe Reno; brother James Reno of Temperance, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Scott Reno; sister Joanne Greene, in-laws Charles Hammer, Carolyn Hetzel, Richard Williams, Bob Hill and Tom Hill.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 2-3P.M. at Shiloh Church, 259 Main Street, Helena, OH; Funeral Services will follow at 3P.M. with Pastor Michael Holcomb officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date at Metzgar Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Church or Gypsum Crossings. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hermanfh.com
