Richard Floyd Myers, 70, of Fremont passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. He was born on October 16, 1951 in Fremont to the late Richard Nelson and Anna Rose (Mason) Myers.
Richard spent his youth working at the family business, Myers A Station. He was a graduate of Woodmore High School and went on to learn the boilermaker trade at Terra Community College. He practiced his trade in Saint Louis as well as in Virginia. In later years, he and his mother operated the Myers Family Restaurant on the site of the A Station. He was a member of the Boilermaker-Blacksmiths Local 85, retiring in 2009. In retirement, he lived and worked on the family's hobby farm in Fremont.
Surviving are his sister, Judy (Richard) Kuhlman of Elmore; nephew, Bret (Stephanie) Kuhlman; and several caring friends who helped in caring for him and the farm.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the future. The Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory has had the honor of caring for Richard and his family.
