Patricia Ann Wilhelm

August 9, 1962 — April 12, 2026

Fremont

Patricia Ann Wilhelm, 63, of Fremont, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

She was born August 9,1962, at Fisher-Titus Hospital in Norwalk, the daughter of James and Theresa (Ott) Smith. She was a 1980 graduate of Monroeville High School. On November 16, 1985, she married Troy Wilhelm, at Millersville St. Mary’s- a marriage built on love and devotion that lasted over 40 years.

Pat worked at Whirlpool, County Line, Kroger’s, and New to You Consignments, but her greatest work was the life she built with her family and the care she gave to everyone around her.

She found happiness in the little things— watching birds, kayaking, fishing, working in her gardens, and bringing new life to old furniture with her creativity and eye for beauty. She had a gift for making things feel like home.

Nothing meant more to Pat than her family. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent laughing, talking, and simply being together. Those moments were what she looked forward to most.

In the kitchen, she showed her love through food. Her coffee cake, spaghetti sauce, salsa, applesauce, biscuits and gravy, and potato soup will be remembered not just for how they tasted, but for the warmth and comfort they brought to everyone lucky enough to sit at her table.

In keeping with her generous and compassionate spirit, Pat gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. Her kidneys and tissues will help others heal and live on, creating a lasting legacy of kindness and hope that reflects the way she lived every day.

She is survived by her husband, Troy Wilhelm of Fremont; her daughter, Karrie (Jamie) Shearer of Clover, South Carolina; her son, Adam (Victoria Brooks) Wilhelm of Fremont; and her beloved grandchildren: Emily (Austin) Topoulos, Hannah (Kyle) Ziegler, Justin, Brayden, Mason, and Marissa Shearer, and Skylar, Madelyn, Brody, and Jaysie Wilhelm. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Karson Topoulos and Rue, Jude, and Robin Ziegler.

She is further survived by her siblings: Joann (Mike) Meyer of Monroeville, Doris (Rick) Whitehouse of Seminole, Florida, Mike (Sherry) Smith of Monroeville, Rose (Dave) Stanley of Norwalk, Karen (Steve) Littlejohn of Bellevue, Dave (Jenny) Smith of Norwalk, and Joe (Jenny) Smith of Monroeville; her mother-in-law, Sally Wilhelm of Helena; and her in-laws: Terry (Debbie Dunn), Tim (Marcelene), Tom (Tammy), Tina Knieriem, and Tana (Randy) Tucker and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law, Robert “Bob” Wilhelm; and her brother-in-law’s, John Knieriem and Todd “Bunny” Wilhelm.
