Patricia "Patti" L. Slayton, 66 of Fremont passed away at her home on June 28, 2025. She was born on May 21, 1959, to the late Ralph W. and Amy C. Drummond Trausch.
A 1977 graduate of Fremont Ross High School, Patti went on to obtain a Bachelor's of Interior Design from Bowling Green State University in 1981. She continued her education and obtained her LPN license in 1984. Patti worked as an LPN at Bethesda Care Center for over 40 years before retiring in 2024.
Patti loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, always doing her best to attend their respective activities. She enjoyed crafting, especially scrapbooking and cross-stitching in her earlier years, planting flowers and gardening at home, as well as reading and having movie nights with her children.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kyle (Jenna) Slayton of Oak Harbor and Kaitlynn (Brandon) Bennett of Fremont; grandchildren, MaKenna, Kevin, and Owen Bennett; siblings, Thomas Drummond of Fremont, Susan (Larry) Fatica of Parma, Karen Davidson of Clyde, and Katherine (Scott) Smith of Colorado Springs, CO; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Patricia is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Drummond; mother, Amy (Hallett) Trausch; step-father, Kevin Trausch; and her beloved golden retriever, Molly.
Visitation for Patricia will be held on Tuesday, July 8, from 4:00-6:00pm, followed by a memorial service beginning at 6:00pm at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont. Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 9 at 11:00am at St. Richard Catholic Cemetery, Swanton.
Memorial Donations in Patricia's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio.
