Mary Catherine Reed

Mary Catherine Reed, 82, of Front Royal, Virginia died Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Lavender Hills, Front Royal, Virginia. Mary Catherine was born January 12, 1943 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Merle Cline and Marion Powles Cline.

She was an English teacher for 30 years at various schools including Lord Fairfax Community College. She married Michael Edward Reed on June 8, 1963 in Port Clinton, Ohio.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; two sons, Christopher Reed of Jackson, MI and Jonathan Reed and wife, Christine and their three children, Brooke, Amber, and Joseph of Lansing, MI; her sister, Susan Myers of Lake Frederick, VA; and her brother, James Cline of San Antonio, TX.

Graveside services will take place at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 26, 2026 at Oakwood Cemetery, 1225 Oakwood Street, Fremont, OH, 43420. Pastor Glenn Merrill will officate.
