Mary Ann Bruns

May 20, 1944 — September 6, 2021

Mary Ann Bruns, 77, of Gibsonburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, September 6, 2021. She was born on May 20, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio, to Michael and Ruth (Hay) Krupinski. On May 12, 1990, she married Glenn Bruns in Gibsonburg, and they shared 27 happy years together until his passing on March 14, 2017.

Mary loved playing softball when she was younger and loved playing bingo, baking, family game nights and going to the casino. She was fond of laying out in the sun, especially if it was in Aruba or Jamaica, her two favorite places to travel to. After Glenn’s retirement, he and Mary also enjoyed adventures in Alaska and Ireland. She adored her family and cherished the time they spent together. In fact, her family truly believes she waited to pass until what would be her grand-daughter’s 21st birthday so that she could celebrate with Megan and Glenn in Heaven.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; David (Michelle) Fowler of Risingsun, OH, Thomas (Kelly) Fowler of Bowling Green, OH, Cindy (Jeff) Kunich of Genoa, OH, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, siblings; Dale (Denise) Krupinski of Perrysburg, OH, Gary (Jenette) Krupinski of Toledo, OH, Kenny Krupinski of Columbus, OH, Donna Piekarzewski of Oregon, OH, Virginia (Charles) Rose of San Diego, CA. She will especially be missed by all her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Glenn, she is preceded in death by her grand-daughter, Megan Kunich, great-grandson, Meguire Smith, siblings; Richard and Ralph Krupinksi, and Evelyn Zielinski.

Visitation will take place Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH, 43431.
