Mario Gavino Obregon Jr.

Mario Gavino Obregon Jr., 34, of Toledo, formerly of Gibsonburg, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2022. He was born in Toledo on January 30, 1988, to Mario Obregon Sr., and Sharon Yates. Mario attended Gibsonburg High School and was recently working as an auto transporter for Advance Auto. He loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mario also enjoyed bowling and was a great cook who loved to host barbeques. However, his greatest passion was his family. Five years ago he met his fiancé, Roberta Wymer, and she has been affectionately known as his wife since the day they met. Mario was so proud of his wife and children and loved spending time with his family. He was the best husband, son and father anyone could ask for and he will be sorely missed by all those who were blessed to have Mario in their life.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Sharon Yates-Allen; wife, Roberta Wymer; children, Analyscia, Gabriella, Savannah, and one on the way; siblings, Maria (Dwayne) Porteous of Hessville, Nicole Obregon of Toledo, Ricardo Obregon Sr., of Toledo, and Corey Richardson of Toledo; uncle, Mike; best friends, Trevis, Josh and Larry Jr., many aunts, uncles and cousins; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Mario Obregon Sr., paternal grandparents, Gavino and Genevieve Obregon; maternal grandparents, Curtis and Carolyn Yates; aunts, Maureen Kerlin and Karen Todd; and cousin, Joseph Yates.

Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 2022, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, Ohio, 43431. Additional visiting will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the funeral home with funeral services beginning at 12:00pm. Pastor Viola Recny will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Gibsonburg.
