Margaret Wagner

Margaret E. Wagner, 93, of Fremont passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Bethesda Care Center. She was born on February 27, 1929 in Fremont to the late George and Francis (McGrady) Bumb. Margaret was a 1947 St. Joseph High School graduate.

On August 12, 1947 she married the love of her life, Thomas Wagner. Along with being a homemaker, Margaret farmed alongside her husband and sons. She enjoyed dancing, writing poetry and was an outstanding cook. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Surviving are her children, Joseph (Brenda) Wagner of Gibsonburg, Ronald Wagner of Fremont, Christopher (Deb) Wagner of Fremont and Kevin Wagner of Oak Harbor; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded by her husband who passed on July 7, 2017; sons, Dale and David Wagner; daughter-in-law, Kelly Wagner; grandson, Chad Wagner; and siblings, Walter and Harold Bumb.

Visitation will be held at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 2-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Matthew Frisbee to officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or Bethesda Care Center Activities Department.
