Marcus E. Holbert

Marcus E. Holbert, 48, of Fremont passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 3, 2022 at his home in Tiffin. Marcus was born on January 21, 1973 to MarJean Karr and the late Daniel Holbert in Fremont.

A Fremont Ross graduate, Marcus enjoyed martial arts, and was a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, MarJean and Albert Karr of Fremont; children, Shaylee, Trevan, and Dre Ruiz; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Dana (Brent) Holbert Filmore, Justin Karr, Mary Ann Karr, Marsha (Stacy) Tong, and Raven Holbert; grandmother, Mary Robertson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and best friends who will all miss him dearly.

Marcus is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Holbert; paternal grandparents, Leon and Eileen Holbert; and maternal grandfather, James Robertson.

A memorial service for Marcus will be held at a later date.

Donations in his name may be made to The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board for Seneca, Sandusky, Ottawa, and Wyandot Counties.
