Manuel Arriaga Jr., 72 of Gibsonburg passed away at his home with his loving family by his side on August 12, 2026.
He was born on October 29, 1953 to the late Manuel and Gregoria (Chavez) Arriaga.
In 1975, he married Jesusa "Susie" Rodriguez, and together they have shared over 51 years and countless memories together.
Manuel held a career with the Whirlpool Corporation as an assembler until his retirement in 2010.
He was a faithful member of St. Michael Catholic Church and enjoyed keeping up his yard, going to garage sales and flea markets, and maintaining his classic Chevy Impala. He loved to watch Monday Night Raw Wrestling, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. His family will fondly remember the many memories made during family cookouts with him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Susie; children, Manue Arriaga of Toledo, Yolanda (Charles) Traylor of Gibsonburg, Jesse Arriaga of Gibsonburg, Angel (Keith) Gschwind of Helena, and Yvette (Marco Montelongo Jr.) Arriaga of Fremont; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and siblings, Jesse Arriaga of Gibsonburg, Susie Arriaga of Fremont, Anne Garcia of Clyde, Helen Arriaga of Fremont, Beatrice Alonzo of Fremont, Marylou Reyna of Fremont, Estella Ontiveroz of Fremont, Sally Bernal of San Antonio, TX, and Adela Garcia of San Antonio, TX.
Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Sr. and Gregoria; son, Santos Arriaga; grandson, Nathen Arriaga; and brother, Jesse Arriaga.
Visitation for Manuel will be held on Monday, August 17 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, August 18 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Gibsonburg. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
