Lyle R. Druckenmiller, 91, of Gibsonburg passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026 with the love and support of his family by his side. He was born on August 26, 1934 in Fremont to the late Harley and Geraldine V. (Keller) Druckenmiller.
After Lyle graduated from Gibsonburg High School, he went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1952-1955.On October 13, 1956, he married the love of his life, Joan M. McCollum in Fremont. Through the years he worked various jobs until branching out to become a self employed contractor.
Lyle saw value in hard work beginning at a young age. In his youth, he raised horses and birds, and through the years he helped those in need expressing his kindness through working on projects to help friends and neighbors. He will always be remembered by his family for his deep love of his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Randy Druckenmiller of Gibsonburg and Sheila (David) DeRosa of Hammond, IN; grandchildren, Lyla Magrum and Candy Kromer; great-grandchildren, Felicia, Brandon, Samantha (Camron), Cheyanne and Alyssa; great-great-grandchildren, Mila, Ember, Serenity, Kayani and Mileah; and siblings, Darlene Scott of Fremont, Dennis (Linda) Bliss of McMillan, MI, and Belinda (Russell) Burkett of Gibsonburg.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan who passed on June 8, 1982; and siblings, Donald Thompson, Evelyn Rose Thompson, Dale Druckenmiller, Cloyce Druckenmiller and Beverly Brandeberry.
Visitation will be held at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from Noon - 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with burial following at Washington Chapel Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Gibsonburg American Legion and the U.S. Army.
Memorials in honor of Lyle may be made to the family care of Sheila DeRosa.
