Lowell A. Myerholtz

Lowell A. Myerholtz, 83, of Gibsonburg passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on April 9, 2026. 

He was born on October 29, 1942 to the late Albert and Esther (Deininger) Myerholtz in Graytown. 

On March 14, 1964, he married Helen Ann Millinger in Rocky Ridge, and have shared over 62 years of love and memories together. 

Lowell was a lifelong farmer. He worked as a sales representative with Pioneer Seed for 27 years, was active in the Black Swamp Angus Association, and served a term as trustee on the Ohio Soybean Council. Lowell also volunteered as a 4H advisor for the Gibsonburg Rural Leaders for many years. He was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church, where he served previously as Sunday School Superintendent and several terms on church council. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Helen; children, David (Danna) Myerholtz, Lisa (Jeff) Reed, and Amy (Mark) Apple; grandchildren, Martin Myerholtz, Mary Ann Myerholtz, Elise Reed, and Derek Reed; step grandchildren, Katelyn (Rich) Kizys, and Austin Apple; and step great-grandchild, Scout Kizys. 

Lowell is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Esther; and siblings, Melvin Myerholtz, Elaine Mylander, and Karen Dewitz. 

Visitation for Lowell will be held on Tuesday, April 14 from 3:00-7:00PM at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, April 15, beginning at 11:00AM at Zion Lutheran Church, with an hour of visitation prior to services. 

Donations in his name may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg or to St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge.
