Louise Ann (Billow) Manahan, 86 passed peacefully with her family surrounding her with love on Sunday, August 2nd. She was preceded in death (2022) by her adoring husband Thomas Manahan of 62 years, and her parents, Harold & Bernice Billow of Fremont. Survived by brother Fred (Dottie) Billow, son Scott (Laura), son Jerry (Carla) and daughter Lisa (Jon) Baird; grandchildren Emily (Jena), Alana, Matthew, Audrey (Mike Hudec), Katie, Diana, Addie and Ella, as well as great grandchildren Josephine Rae and Wells Michael.

Lou Ann was class valedictorian of Fremont St. Joseph HS in 1958. After high school, while raising her family she was responsible for writing the clever jingles for local businesses at WFRO Radio Station and later worked at Welty Insurance. Lou Ann and Tom were long-time parishioners of St. Ann's Catholic Church (Fremont). Lou Ann was a long-time CCD Coordinator at St. Ann and taught the “Catholic Life” to hundreds of high school students over the years. They volunteered many years together as Fremont Ross Booster Club Officers and successfully fundraised tens of thousands of dollars for Ross Athletics.

Lou Ann became a fan of all the kids’ sports and loved to follow Coach Scott's (Nat. H.S. HOF) baseball teams as well as all of THE Ohio State Athletics. Tom & Lou Ann, along with a few Fremont friends, started the Manahan Tailgate, which over the past 30 years has hosted tens of thousands of "Buckeye Friends".

While Tom drove for work, Lou Ann loved enjoying the countryside, visiting family, simply spotting deer, looking at boats on the lake, or meeting friends to grab a bite to eat. She also loved her Ladies Lunch Groups and hosting Card Parties at the house.

Lou Ann was the Kindest Friend to All, the Most Loving Mother, always present in the lives of all her children, grandchildren and will be Forever Loved & Missed by everyone she touched with her grace and love!

Donations can be made to St. Ann Catholic Church, Hospice of Central Ohio, or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Many thanks to all the caring staff at The Woodlands of Columbus and Hospice.
