Leticia Rusch

Leticia Rusch, 80, of Lindsey passed away on August 12, 2026. She was born in Fremont on January 15, 1946 to Charles Henry and Phyllis (Paul) Lieske.

After graduating from Fremont Ross High School, Letty continued her education earning her LPN. She worked through the years for Fremont Memorial Hospital, Mercy, St. Luke's and Flower Hospital. She also felt called, and provided, private care for several Sandusky County residents. As a cherished member of the community, Letty touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion. She will be remembered not only for her nurturing spirit but also for her unwavering love and support of those around her.

Letty was proud to be a part of the local weight watcher group, and a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed puzzles and loved animals including dogs and horses. The years prior to her medical decline, Letty loved to tend to her garden.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Thomas Rusch; children, Rachel Thornhill of Lindsey and David (Patty) Rusch of Clyde; granddaughter, Shelby Thornhill of Fremont; brother, William (Barbara) John Lieske of Valparaiso, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Charles "Butch" Frederick, Jeannie Bratt, Michael Paul Lieske; and son-in-law, Rob Thornhill.

Memorials in honor of Letty may be made to Creek Bend Farm, 720 South Main St., Lindsey, OH.

A Memorial Service honoring the beauty she added to this world will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, Fremont. The times are currently pending and will be updated soon.
