Larry Lee Heminger, 75, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, August 19, at Cape Coral hospital from a short illness. He was born in Fremont, Ohio to Dolores (Pugh) and Walter Heminger. He lived in Gibsonburg & Toledo, Ohio before relocating to Cape Coral, Florida 41 years ago.
Through the years, he worked at Toledo Engineering Company, in housing construction in Florida and worked at the Anheuser Busch Company until he retired in 2009.
He was an avid sportsman, setting turtle lines, coon & deer hunting and loved fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and working crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his children Brian Heminger (Christina) of Fort Myers, FL, Larry Heminger (Cherie) of Cape Coral, FL, Kim Dunn (Greg) of Tiffin, OH and Larissa Moseley (Johnny) of Itasca, TX.
7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A brother, Dan Heminger of Gibsonburg, brother-in-law, John Moore of Millbury and sister-in-law, Sherrie Heminger of Tiffin. Many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death, are his parents, brothers Allen (Sonny) & Donald Heminger, sisters Norma Diebley, Marilyn Moore, Sandy (Sissy) Lease and baby sister, Wanda Gail Heminger.
Graveside services will be held September 4, 2022, at the West Union Cemetery at 11am, followed by a luncheon at the American Legion Hall, 300 S. Main Street, in Gibsonburg, where family and friends can gather and reminisce.
Suggestions for memorials may be made to the Sandusky County Sportsman Club, Gibsonburg Food Pantry, the Gibsonburg Branch Library or the donors choice.
