Kevin A. Koebel

Kevin A. Koebel, 44, of Fremont, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2026 at Toledo Hospital after a brief illness. He was born March 13, 1982 in Fremont, the son of Robert E. and Nancy L.(Tyson) Koebel, Jr. Kevin was a 2000 graduate of Fremont Ross High and went on to work as a bricklayer for the Local 46.

He often filled his weekends with side jobs and lending a helping hand to friends. Beyond his craft; he was known for his love of cooking and fishing. Family and friends will fondly remember him for his mischievous sense of humor, particularly his infamous prank calls, which never failed to bring confusion maybe embarassment and ultimately a smile to those who received them.

Surviving is his mother Nancy Koebel of Fremont; siblings Beth (Tim) Grabo of Sarasota, FL and Robert (Tiffany) Koebel III of Fremont ;son Rosario Martinez of Fremont; grandsons Rosario and Lorenzo; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 5-7PM at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Crematory. Private burial will take place at Green Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Local 46 Masons and Bricklayers Union or to Birchard Public Library.
