Ken Haslinger, 85, of Fremont, Ohio passed away on May 24, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on June 10, 1940 to Servilian & Mathilda Haslinger. Despite losing his Father in grade school - through hard work, grit & determination – Ken graduated from Fremont Saint Joseph High School & worked his way through college - often hitch hiking to make classes at the University of Detroit – where he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduating from college, Ken met the love of his life Cindy at one of his friends get togethers and they were married at Fremont Saint Joseph Church - recently celebrating 57 years of marriage together.

Ken spent his entire work career, from being a college intern to his retirement (as President of Telamon Construction), working for Mosser Construction & its subsidiaries for 45 years. Ken was the Vice President of Mosser’s Design-Build division for over 10 years and named the President of Telamon Construction up until his retirement 10 years later. Ken was a builder at heart – managing numerous construction projects throughout Ohio and Michigan while also mentoring and developing the next generation of builders to follow him.

Ken (& Cindy) enjoyed many active years in retirement traveling to Aruba for over 20 straight years & attending numerous grandchildren’s school and sporting events. Ken enjoyed life – always had a smile on his face and was a friend to all – willing to help anyone out in need while also enjoying his time tending to his garden and playing the piano. He was always up for a good time with friends – whether it was drink at the islands, fishing on Lake Erie or a game of golf. Ken was also active in the Fremont Saint Joseph parish throughout his life & served on the Fremont Economic Board.

Ken Haslinger is survived by his wife Cindy; sons, Tony (Tracey) & Troy (Michelle); grandchildren, Sam, Max, Ashley, Drew, Lindsay, Brayden & Adrienne. He is preceded in death by parents (Servilian & Mathilda), his daughter Holly (Sneider) - along with siblings Jim, Mary Ann (McCormack) & Jack.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with visiting beginning at 9:00 AM, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1021 W. State Street, Fremont, OH, 43420.Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.For those unable to attend, live-streaming of services will be available by following the link on his obituary page.
