Karen Sue Ramirez

April 9, 1943 — June 6, 2025

Fremont

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen "Sue" Ramirez, who left this world on June 6, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on April 9, 1943, in Marengo, Ohio, Karen was a beloved daughter, mother, and friend whose kindness and strength touched everyone she encountered.

On May 11, 1968, she married the love of her life Antonio M. Ramirez in Bellevue.

For the majority of her career, Karen worked as a machine operator at Union Carbide and Eveready Battery. She also had worked as a HMS Host at the Ohio Turnpike. Karen loved ice cream, kite flying and camping throughout the country. Along with visiting friends and family, she loved country music and any opportunity to dance with Tone.

Following her wishes, Karen has been cremated, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind including her children, Tim (Trina) Donnersbach of Clyde, Dorothy (Steven) Magrum of Grand Rapids, MI, Shawn (Syndi) Ramirez of Vero Beach, FL, Dawn Ramirez of Fremont; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Alta Belle Carter; and beloved grand cat, Mr. Stinkey. As we reflect on the life of this remarkable woman, we are reminded of the warmth she brought to our lives and the enduring legacy of love she leaves within us.

Karen was preceded in death by: her husband, Antonio "Tone" Ramirez; parents, Bryant and Eileen (Hardman) Mosher; siblings, Leroy (Jackie) Mosher and Howard (Doris) Mosher; and granddaughter, Shilah Donnersbach.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorials to be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Let us celebrate her life and the love she generously bestowed upon everyone around her.
