Karen Jean (Metter) Clark

Karen Jean (Metter) Clark, 78, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at her Fremont home with her family at her side. She was born on January 11, 1944 in Fremont to the late Everett and Margaret (Merrihew) Metter. 

Karen was a Fremont Ross graduate, and on December 7, 1963 she married the love of her life, Kenneth L. Clark at St. John's Lutheran Church. Together they raised their 4 children while running their own business, Fremont Fence Company. During her spare time, Karen enjoyed spending time at their Florida home, fishing and golfing. Reading,  gambling, and attending the local races were also favorite pastimes. Above all, Karen loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 59 years, Kenneth L. Clark; children Kenny Clark II, Bobby (fiance, Marilyn) Clark and Kim (Dan) Kramer all of Fremont; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and siblings George Metter and Linus Metter.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Rodriguez; grandson, Gregory Rodriguez; and siblings Jerry, Robert, and Henry Metter.

Visitation will be held from 11:00AM-1:00PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00PM. Pastor Forrest Kirchenbauer will officiate and burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Garden, Clyde.
