JoAnn Zienta

JoAnn (Shively) Zienta, age 79, of Fremont, Ohio passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026 at her home surrounded by loved ones. JoAnn was born on September 15, 1946the daughter of Elwood and Iris (Kirwen) Shively in Fremont, Ohio. She was a 1964 graduate of Saint Joseph Central Catholic High School.

In JoAnn's working career, she worked for Ohio Bell Telephone, Quickut Inc, and Indian Head Industries. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society.

On August 12, 1967 she married Harry A. Zienta and together they enjoyed 59 years of married life and were blessed with two children, Son Bryan Anthony (Michele) and daughter Amy Jo Zienta. JoAnn was a grandma to three, Olivia Zienta, Sydnee (Ben) Mommersteeg and Drake Zienta and was great grandma to Sylvie Mommersteeg.

She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and grandchildren and enjoyed her vacation to the cottage at Douglas Lake, Michigan. JoAnn is survived by siblings Denny (Ruth) Shively, Judi Forsythe and Steve (Becky) Shively. Per JoAnn's wishes, there will be no visitation.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Memorials can be given in her honor to Saint Ann Catholic Church or Donor's Choice.
