Jean F. Dickman, 95 of Fremont passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025. She was born on August 25, 1929 in Mingo Junction, Ohio to the late Jay and Mary (Hudak) Beatty. She attended St. Joseph High School. Following graduation, she worked at the Telephone Company.
Jean married her high school sweetheart, Richard, on August 12, 1950, and together they celebrated 54 years of marriage until his passing in 2005.
She was a kind and loving person with a great sense of humor. Her life revolved around her faith and family, both of which she loved deeply. Jean was a loving devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Richard and Jean were founding members of Sacred Heart Parish, where they were active with the church and school. In their retirement they enjoyed traveling, especially family vacations. Jean was a wonderful cook and baker and was known for her picture perfect pies. She always provided memorable holidays for her family. She enjoyed decorating, gardening, reading, and working on puzzle books.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Deborah (Loren) Linder of Fremont, and Mark Dickman of Cleveland; grandchildren, Jay Linder of Fremont, Danielle (Ryan) Fishley of Lakewood, and Nathaniel Dickman of Fremont; great-grandchildren, Jada Dickman and Max Fishley; brother, Robert Beatty of Sarasota, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by her siblings, Agnes (LaMar) Fisher, Rosemary (Richard) Cordrey, Jack (Alice) Beatty, and Thomas (Carolyn) Beatty.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, April 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 AM with an hour of visitation held prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Jean's name may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to Heartland Hospice.
Jean's family would like to thank all the caregivers she loved so dearly for their care: Emily, Denisha, McChele, Mindy, Gwen Abby and Nancy. As well as Morgan, Amanda and the staff of Heartland Hospice.
