Jane Marie Peck
June 7, 1958 - January 22, 2026
Jane Marie Peck, a woman of immense heart and great strength, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Wood County Hospital at the age of 67. Born in Fremont on June 7, 1958, she was the cherished daughter of Lyle and Ruth (Gnepper) Kreilick.
Jane's life was defined by her devotion to those she loved. In her younger years, she played a vital role in her family, helping to raise her nieces and nephews. To them, she was far more than an aunt; she was a steady, nurturing mother figure whose influence helped shape their lives. That same nurturing spirit followed her into her marriage to Robert G. Peck, whom she wed on April 28, 2018
A 1976 graduate of Fremont Ross High School, Jane spent decades as a familiar and friendly face in the community. She was known for her wittiness and laughter, along with fighting like a man, if you needed to be kicked out. Jane was exactly the kind of person every small-town tavern needs. Someone who could serve up a mean wet burrito and then serve up a reality check if things got out of hand. As the longtime bartender and cook at Rollersville Tavern, she turned a job into a second home for many, greeting everyone with her brilliant smile, warmth and a great meal. She later brought that same care to the residents of Bowling Green Manor, where she worked as a housekeeper until her retirement in 2024. Her loving family is currently looking for her wet burrito recipe, if she shared it with you please, please share it back.
Jane's legacy of love continues through her husband, Robert; stepchildren, Ryan McGuire, Elijah, and Cheyanne Peck; her brothers, Jack (Peg) Kreilick, Bill (Carolyn) Kreilick, Ted (Julie) Kreilick, and Dan (Linda) Kreilick; and the nieces and nephews who will always carry her "mother's heart" with them: Emili Mick, Nick Kreilick, Chad Kreilick, Matthew Kreilick, Danielle Gram, Cory McCormick, Jim Kreilick, Liz Kreilick, Nate Kreilick, Patti Kreilick, and Tim Kreilick. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers; Bob Kreilick, Jim Kreilick, Tom Kreilick and Don Kreilick. Nephew; Chris Kreilick and Niece; Cori Kreilick-Eishen.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hermanfh.com
