Jack R. Rose, 86, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 27, 2020. He was born on May 16, 1934 in Fremont to the late Theodore and Ruth (Wise) Rose. Jack was a 1953 Fremont Ross graduate. That year Fremont won the State Championships in swimming and Jack was honored an All American Swimmer. The majority of his working career Jack worked for Mosser Construction for many years as an operating engineer until his retirement in 1997. He cherished the many relationships and friendships he gained through working there. Jack had many interests and most of them included being outdoors. He was an avid bird watcher and loved vacationing in Maine with Susan. He also liked following NASCAR and watching the races, but nothing was better to him than being with his family.
Left to cherish his memory is his companion of 25 years, Susan Atkinson; children, Ronda Shree Rose of Sandusky, Lana Rose of Florida, Lisa Michelle Rose of Lima and Tyrone Rose of Fremont; grandchildren, Kara Griffith, Kaley Pfeiffer, Krystal Magrum, Kelly Serwin, Amanda Powell, Jac Tyce Rose, and Ashley Hasselbach; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fremont Ross Swim Team Boosters or St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 W Ottawa St, Oak Harbor, OH 43449.
On behalf of his family, Ty would like to invite you to his home at 3730 Fangboner Rd., Fremont, OH 43420 on June 26, 2021 where a Celebration of Jack's Life will be held beginning at 2:00 p.m.
