Harriet McCoy

Harriet Beth McCoy, 75, of Gibsonburg passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023. She was born in Fremont on December 12, 1947; she was a daughter to Oran and Bonnie McCoy.

Harriet graduated from the Ohio School for the Deaf in Columbus. She enjoyed doing arts & crafts, puzzles (lots of puzzles), reading and working on plastic crochet projects. She will be remembered for her engaging character and for the variety of TV programs she followed, like her soap operas: The Young & The Restless and The Bold & The Beautiful, and W.W.E. Wrestling.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Clayton (Kristi) McCoy of Gibsonburg, Clinton (Rachel) McCoy of Fremont, and Barbara McCoy of Fremont; grandchildren, Smith, Stella, Sam, Sophie, Ashtyn and Emily; siblings, Oran McCoy Jr. of Arizona, Diane Nash of Fremont, Lois Hymes of Adrian Michigan, Alice (David) Sinsel of Gibsonburg, and Shirley Koons of Noblesville, Indiana; and many extended family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Greg Koons.

Her family would like to thank the community members of Luther Meadow for their friendship and support given to Harriet the last  two years of her residency there.

Visitation for Harriet will be held on Sunday, August 6th from Noon-2 PM at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home, 319 W. Madison St., Gibsonburg, OH 43431. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home beginning at 2 PM. Pastor Tony Buxsel will officiate.
