Glenn F. Johnson

Glenn F. Johnson, 44 of Fremont, passed away in the early morning of October 1, 2021, at Bellevue Hospital.

He was born on February 11, 1977, to Glenn L. and Lucille Ann (Hummel) Johnson. A graduate of Temple Christian Academy, Glenn went on to obtain an Associate Degree from Terra State Community College.

A man of many talents, Glenn worked as a handyman and bus driver with New Vision Employment Services. He also found joy in operating the computer for slot car races every Friday.

On October 30, 2004, Glenn married Krista Opp, sharing 16 loving years together.  

An outdoorsman, Glenn enjoyed hunting and fishing. Camping and cooking around the campfire were also favorite pastimes of his. Glenn found great pride in his membership with the NRA and held a wealth of knowledge when it came to firearms. He also loved to cook, often borrowing recipes from his mother to try out with his own family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Krista; daughter, Savannah; mother, Lucille Johnson; brother, Harry (Amanda) Johnson; nieces, Mariska and Autumn; nephew, Jensen; father-in-law, Kim Opp (Judy Ogg); and mother-in-law, Karen (Brian Gordon).

Glenn is preceded in death by his father, Glenn Leroy Johnson; grandparents, Ray and Vivian Hummel; and sister-in-law, Kaylee Rae Opp.

A time of visitation for Glenn will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, Ohio from 4:00-7:00 PM, with services to follow at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Services will  be live-streamed via the funeral home’s website: HermanFH.com under the “Live Webcasts” tab.
