Gayetta C. Hobbs

Gayetta C. Hobbs, 87, of Gibsbonburg, passed on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Windsor Lane Care Center. She was born September 14, 1938 in Fremont, the daughter of Ernest J. and Treva (Galbreth) Braden. She was a 1956 graduate of Gibsonburg High School.

Gayetta worked for Brush Wellman, Owens Illinois and Management Recruiters. She also played in the Don Hemmiger Blues Band and Johnny Krorr Orchestra.

Surviving are her sons Jonathan Andrew Hobbs of Gibsonburg, Charles Alan Hobbs of Helena and Nathaniel James (Teresa) Hobbs of Gibsonburg; grandchildren: Josua Hobbs, Ben Hobbs, Megan Hobbs, Matthew J. Hobbs, Josephine R. (Ronnie) Adams: great-grandchildren: Leo James Adams, Livia Jo Adams, Joshua Andrew II Hobbs, Arianna Marie Hobbs, Mercedes Dawn Hobbs. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Virginia (Jim) Healey, Doug F. Braden and Frank "Bud" (Audrey) Braden.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 11:00AM at Herman-Veh Funeral Home, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH. Funeral services will begin at Noon. Private burial will take place at West Union Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Promedica Heartland Hospice.
