Gary Earl Wurzel

Gary E. Wurzel 84, of Fremont, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Elmwood Care Center. He was born September 15, 1937 in Sandusky the son of Robert and Velma (Young) Wurzel. Gary was retired from Whirlpool Corporation, was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed volunteering locally at Grace Lutheran's Soup Kitchen. On June 6, 1959 he married Mary M. Nieset at St. Ann Catholic Church. Surviving is his wife Mary, sons: Randy (Stacy), Brian (Karen), Eric and Brent; grandchildren: Kody, A.J., Josh, Michael, Stephen, Haley, Breanna; great-grandchildren: Oliver, Aryia, Aiden, Elijah, Nathaniel, Katelynn; brother Lyle Kent (Kathy) Wurzel of Lancaster, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 12:00-1:30P.M. at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorial services will begin at 1:30 P.M. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
