We celebrate the remarkable life of Frank Angelone, a beloved member of the Saint Michael Catholic Church community whose spirit touched the lives of many. Frank lived a vibrant and active life filled with his passions for golfing, bicycling, and bowling. With his 16 pound bowling ball, he could outshine competitors half his age and maintained an impressive average that amazed all who knew him.
Frank was a regular spectator with a special seat at all Gibsonburg sporting events. If the sport contained the word "ball" he was interested. He had a special enthusiasm for softball, football and basketball. Frank's generosity and thoughtfulness were hallmarks of his character, and he deeply appreciated the small gestures of kindness, such as when family cooked for him or delivered gifts of food, especially cookies. He was often quoted as saying " I am the Cookie Monster, bring me the cookies!" His gratitude reflected the warmth and humility that defined his interactions with others.
Frank is survived by his children Mark (Donna) of Toledo, OH; Kim (John) Miller of Green Springs, OH; James (Jody) of Brookpark, OH; his sister Margaret Binder; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews, and his community of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and siblings Carmen, Joseph and Richard Angelone, sisters Nina Price, Grace Schoenfeld, and Victoria Blessing. Also surviving is great-nephew, caretaker and "Buddy" Matthew Kille, his exceptional care, patience and love afforded Frank the ability to thrive in his own home.
